Christian Pool Players Assoc. (CPPA)
A multi-purpose ministry, with two common denominators:

1. Jesus as Savior and LORD
2. Pool/billiards.

Founded in 2002 by Pastor Jim Mazzulla, it has grown to a network of Christian pool players in over 35 states nationwide and also has members worldwide.

Our primary goal is to glorify Christ in ALL that we do. We will also strive to be new image-makers for the game of pool as we show forth Christ-like characteristics.

Our mission is to:

First, build up a network of Christians who can fellowship with one another AND practice or play with one another, ultimately having entire Christian teams. The goal being to encourage and strengthen each other in the LORD.? We will meet in Christian church pool leagues in homes and in pool establishments.

Second, out of this time together, truly help each other become better players. We will, at all times, hold up the highest of Christian standards morally, socially, financially, etc.
Laughter
This is NOT pulpit humor; but humor you don't need to be ashamed to pass on. Now called Ed's World of Raucous Laughter The Laughter for a Saturday newsletter is a full length newsletter. The reason that it is so lengthy is that I cram all kind of different kinds of tangents into one newsletter. I select humor material that I'm getting from other laughter newsletters (and I always make an effort to indicate the source of the material, so that if you would like to subscribe, you will know how to contact those sites to do so). Monday Fodder
Monday Fodder is a different sort of list. It is both personal and general. The update section is personal and is basically a blog about our week-by- week activities and ministries in Hongkong. We have served as missionaries here for 30 + years. In this section I also share one or two prayer requests each week. The rest of the "Fodder" is general with some quotes to encourage prayer, sermon illustrations, or relatively short and to the point teachings about biblical truths. The "Guffaw Fodder" section provides one-liners and other humorous stories and jokes. Life is serious business, but one also needs humor to keep it in balance. Our Purpose!

We publish a weekly newsletter, on Fridays, covering a multitude of subjects. We will always have a religious article of some type. It will have tidbits of information about Flags and etc., articles on the family, computer tips, editorials, some humor, famous quotations, as well as information from guest writers. It will also be "sprinkled" with some advertising.

You must remember that those of us who publish free newsletters must be compensated for our time in some manner. Therefore, the paid advertising in each issue!

The Jesus Prayer
Most of the teaching is from the Philokalia, a collection of writings from the eastern Fathers, from about the 3rd Century to the 19th Century. Practice in prayer will be with The Jesus Prayer, and the knotted Prayer Rope or Jesus Beads, which is made from the hair of black sheep.
